久々の更新です。というのもこの作品を作製しようとした矢先にレーザー管が破損するトラブルに見舞われており、代替品を手に入れるまでネタがありませんでした。
I made a case designed for sub-display which is assembled iPad retina LCD and Abusemark's board.

今回作製したものはアクリルを使ったケースです。中に入れるものはごく一部で人気のipadの液晶にDisplay Port変換基板をくっつけて作る液晶ディスプレイです。一番の売りはその高解像度、製品のサブディスプレイには無いretinaを活用出来る所、そして廉価な所にあります。以前３Dプリンターを活用して作製したことがあるのですが、お世辞にも見栄えが微妙な作品でした。
This box is made of acrylic plate, and has become a beautiful finish compared to those made by 3D printing.The main benefit is that the resolution is higher than the sub-display of common commercially available. Yet it can be produced at low cost.

ケーブル(CABLE) 1000円(10$)
これと送料(shipping fee and other..)ぐらいで、10000円程度(with in 100$)に収まるようです。

そこで、ネットで募った意見をもとに部品を設計しレーザー加工機を用いて作製することにしました。価格については、平板を積み上げるようなタイプではなく、フレーム部品を切り出して接着剤で固定することで使用するアクリルの量を減らすことにしました。同時に重さに関しても減らすことができました。
条件
①そこそこの低価格(low cost , up to 45$)
②基板は固定できること(logic board can be fasten by screw)
